The guru

Radhika Unnithan is a distinguished Bharatanatyam teacher who has trained hundreds of students in this revered Indian classical dance form. With a passion that is truly unmatched, she has successfully choreographed and guided over 200 Bharatanatyam arangetrams, shaping the journeys of aspiring dancers. Radhika honed her skills under the esteemed Dr. Yamini Krishnamurthy, one of the most celebrated exponents of Bharatanatyam and Kuchipudi. Her performances have graced prestigious stages in both India and the United States, earning her recognition for her grace and artistry. Beyond her dedication to dance, Radhika is also a clinical psychologist, bringing a deep understanding of discipline and expression to her teaching. She is committed to preserving and passing on this cultural legacy, ensuring that each student not only masters the technique but also embraces the rich tradition behind it. With her exceptional guidance, students gain not just technical expertise but also a profound appreciation for Bharatanatyam’s spiritual and cultural significance.

A spectacular 1020-seat venue built in the style of a 19th Century opera house, the Dale F. Halton Theater boasts a 2500 square foot stage with a sprung floor, a full fly house, an orchestra pit for 30 instrumentalists with a stage lift, and a custom-designed Wenger orchestra shell.
